Website Design Process
Are you a "hands-on" kind of person who needs a new website or redesign of your existing site? Let’s get right to the core: here’s what happens when you contact someone like me:
- We’ll discuss project requirements, time frame, budget, and other pertinent details. This discussion will take place in person, by telephone, or via e-mail.
- You’ll get a free PDF copy of my Web Design Client Workbook, which will help you describe your website needs and wants in a way we both understand.
- I’ll develop a customized proposal for your organization. The proposal will be based on your responses to the Web Design Client Workbook questions. A contract will be sent with the proposal.
- If you accept the proposal and return the contract with an initial retainer fee, we’ll begin work. At this time, I’ll need the content (text, graphics, photos, etc.) that you’d like to use on your website.
- I’ll create three different design concepts for your site. They will be posted online (as .jpg image files) so that you can review them.
- After you choose the design concept that you’d like to use, I’ll build your site and show you how to maintain and update it.
- After the site has been tested and approved by you, the balance of your fee must be paid before files are uploaded to your server or host.
