Event Photography: Butterfly Pavilion
April 1st, 2008If you're into fluttering insects, the Desert Botanical Garden's Butterfly Pavilion is the place to be. Located in southeast Phoenix, the Pavilion is quite the draw for photographers, including my friend and mentor, Judy Vorfeld:

Judy and I visited the Butterfly Pavilion this past Saturday.
You can catch the Butterfly Pavilion exhibit between March 1 and May 11. It's a guaranteed good time for humans and fluttery things...

Did I mention that Julia butterflies love to pose?

The Pavilion exit is guarded by duster-wielding docents. And everyone gets the brushoff treatment. This is done to keep the butterflies from hitching rides on the backs of departing humans...

Tip: You can view more event photography in my portfolio and on this blog. I am also available for event photography assignments in Tucson, Arizona, and elsewhere. I specialize in concerts, festivals, parades, political rallies, and sporting events. To check availability and to request a proposal, please e-mail me or call 520-690-1888.
