Event Photography: Sidewalk Concert at the Co-op
May 6th, 2009Permit me to start this post with a disclaimer: I'm not an economist, and I don't play one on TV.
But I have been noticing that, despite all the news of economic turmoil, locally-based, community-oriented businesses are doing just fine. Take Tucson's Food Conspiracy Co-op, for example. Despite its location on parking-scarce 4th Avenue, sales are on the upswing. And that's something worth celebrating.
So, what does the co-op decide to do? Throw an Earth Day party for the public. On the sidewalk. Outside the store. The festivities featured music by the Silver Thread Trio...

Okay, they brought a bass player and became a quartet. Here they are again...

Tip: You can view more event photography in my portfolio and on this blog. I am also available for event photography assignments in Tucson, Arizona, and elsewhere. I specialize in concerts, festivals, parades, political rallies, and sporting events. To check availability and to request a proposal, please e-mail me or call 520-690-1888.
